P.I.Y. - PUNK-IT-YOURSELF- KARAOKE (GER)
July 2024. 30 degrees in the shade, lunchtime. The first breakfast beers have been processed, we are located in the forest pool in the community of Glaubitz. The liver is already busy. Someone has the idea “We could have a cocktail now?” Yes, why not? “Blitzkrieg Bop” by the Ramones comes through one of those annoying portable jukeboxes. Actually quite nice here. There's also a Misfits song playing now, but hey, do they have a new singer yet? That sounds terrible. Terrible. Moment. That sounds like the guy we were at the counter with yesterday! What the hell is that? P.I.Y. PUNK ROCK KARAOKE is back! Anyone who has ever experienced the Dresden trio live knows what's going on: The band has 50-60 (probably a lot more now) of our, your absolute favorite songs in stock - they play, you sing: From Loikaemie to Wizo, from Cock Sparrer to the pants, from Slime to Adicts. Great fun for young and old, for punk and skin, for you and me! IN THE FOREST BATH!

DRITTE WAHL (GER)
“They’ll become something!” ...so in 1998, when Back To Future took place for the first time in Glaubitz, a slightly tipsy, tall man whispered in my ear. He had a striking resemblance to “Then and Now” co-organizer Daniel and I didn’t believe a word he said. 25 years later and DRITTE WAHL are undoubtedly one of the most popular bands in the country. With a new album, an almost bombastic live show by punk standards and a sold-out hall tour behind us, we are more than happy that these friendly gentlemen from the north will be our guests again. Dynamic punk rock with a slight metal touch, balanced lyrics and that certain something of authenticity that many other German-speaking bands unfortunately lack. Daniel was right...

CHUBBY AND THE GANG (UK)
You can lift your lower jaws again - YES! - CHUBBY AND THE GANG play at Back To Future! One of the most exciting British bands of recent years, delivering a furious mix of styles from everything we love London for as a musical melting pot: punk, Oi!, mod, glam & pub rock, power pop, blues, hardcore. The trade press is going crazy and we are beaming like crazy that we actually managed to sign the team!
Don't be surprised by the picture! As befits real hooligans, there is currently only one photo of the leader of the gang!

Oi!RONIE (GER)
“Workless Class Streetpunk” and an Oi! in the name: An ironic oxymoron like forest bathing vs. rain jacket or rhubarbara vs. no headache the next day. But actually everyone loves Oi! Music - and seriously - who wants to work? OI!RONIE have been breaking genre constraints in a refreshing way for a few years now, are a force live and the whole band stumbles around the festival grounds every year, slightly tipsy anyway. Oi! It's German punk with a snotty Berlin snout, lots of charisma and very likeable people. Welcome to Back To Future!

BAD NERVES (UK)
Wikipedia says about "insider tip": 1. Useful information that should only be forwarded to one or a special group of people. 2. (colloquial) particularly good place.
Of course, an insider tip is no longer an insider tip if we reveal it here to the whole world. The second thing - that Glaubitz is a “particularly good place” - you have known that for a long time. However, we - and we're a bit proud of this - always had one or two “insider tips” ready, i.e. bands that suddenly became “everyone's favorite band” immediately after Back To Future. Everyone already knew them and so on... CLOWNS, PRIVATE FUNCTION, GUIDA, GET DEAD, JAYA THE CAT... We hope you've checked out what we're desperately trying to tell you here?

100 KILO HERZ (GER)
“Yes, yes Back To Future, you always with your old German punk legends and UK/US classics, sometimes you don’t even notice what’s happening outside the box!” - Please what? Uprising, mutiny, even criticism?
Well, the shame can probably be dumped on us by the bucketful: after all, there is a punk-affinous band just a few kilometers away who are doing their own (“Dirt + Glitter”) festival (!) and are going extremely high in the charts (!!), playing in the Gewandhaus (!!!), are somehow on everyone's lips and we still haven't guided them to Glaubitz?! It's long overdue for 100 KILO HERZ to show us how their brass punk works live. Somewhere between Fine Cream Fish Fillet, Rantanplan and Mad Caddies. We are sure that 100 KILO HERZ will be a guest perhaps for the first time, but certainly not for the last!

RUMKICKS (KR)
Luckily, we on the booking team are good advocates of “we always look at the opening acts”, otherwise we would have missed out on the fantastic kicks on the last Casualties tour. Holla the forest fairy, the ladies from South Korea are tearing the place down so much that the floppy Mohawk gets up again by himself! Good mood high-speed punk somewhere between Toy Dolls and Bad Cop/Bad Cop, all in the classic UK82 exploited look? On tour in summer! Then they have to go to Glaubitz!

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The only thing you always seem to think of as a Christmas present is a BTF ticket, at least that's what you could assume from the increased number of orders on our homepage in the last few days. That's an honor for us, of course, as there aren't many other alternatives.
Since we are also receiving more inquiries about shipping times, we have decided to now answer orders within 12 hours and ship paid tickets up to and including Wednesday. This means that if you transfer your order on Tuesday, your Tix will be sent by post on Wednesday and should be under the tree or whatever on time.

BOOZE & GLORY (UK/PL)
What started as a small skinhead band in London in 2009 has now become a multinational crowd favorite. BOOZE & GLORY have invested a lot, constantly improved and constantly climbed the ladder of success. Authentic, because without denying their Oi! roots, the band has perfected their sound and now have their own trademarks: highly melodic, powerful, anthemic. Street punk that really takes off where the Dropkick Murphys are already swaying! After their great performance at Back To Future 2016, they are finally back in Glaubitz!

BLITZKID (US)
We celebrated BLITZKID - dressed as Jerry Only, Glenn Danzig and Wednesday Addams - on Helloween during their triumphant return to European stages like the Gremlins after midnight. Have we actually ever had a horror punk band at Back To Future? In any case, with BLITZKID we managed to sign the cherry on the cake of the genre. MISFITS and AFI meet classic hardcore punk, and in the middle of summer the make-up is so beautiful, it's going to be epic!

RED LONDON (UK)
Back To Future in the truest sense of the word! When we built our stage at the Glaubitzer Reitplatz for the very first time, RED LONDON was already on the flyer. Time flies, 1998 in 2024 and RED LONDON are back! Sunderland's smartest! Next to ANGELIC UPSTARTS and RED ALERT, undoubtedly the most charismatic band in the English North West! Class-conscious, political and, above all, absolutely unique thanks to the soulful voice of singer Patti Smith. Show of hands if you were already there in 1998!

VENUSSHELLS (GER)
In a fair world, THE VENUSSHELLS would have gone on tour with Joan Jett at some point in 2004, Fran would have graced the cover of Plastic Bomb instead of Brody Dalle and we would be admiring the troupe in amazement in front of the Dresden Old Town panorama at the sold-out Elbwiese in 2024. As a quasi-legitimate successor to Girlschool and the Donnas, the band would be number 1 in the Coretex charts for weeks with every new record. There would still be something like music television, where Yvonne hosted the Headbangers Ball. Sammy would sing strange duets with Franzi instead of with Doro Pesch... But unfortunately we don't live in a fair world. THE VENUSSHELLS are still something of an insider tip, with concerts that take place far too rarely.
So make the world a little better for a moment and celebrate the 3 as frenetically as they deserve for a long time!

8°6 CREW (FRA)
After a short break, the Back To Future announcement marathon continues this week! With “Working Class Reggae” - at least that's how the 8°6 crew from Paris describe themselves. Relaxed, relaxed and above all danceable reggae with a good dose of ska, maybe that's exactly the right sound to mix between all the rowdy brothers that have been announced so far and sisters to slow down a gear. In any case, we are looking forward to one of the otherwise very rare shows from the French bootboys!

Dresden's answer to THE BRIEFS, THE KIDS, THE SHOCKS and generally to everything that fidgets, wears ill-fitting jackets and sunglasses: THE PISSED ONES! How many times have we heard the stupid phrase “fist on the eye” during the few band announcements? Is it still bearable or is it already annoying? THE INSERTS (GER)
Rough, jagged garage punk with a heavy NDW influence. A bit like HANS-A-PLAST and IDEAL crashing at a party with the SHOCKS. The upper lip pulled up, the middle finger stretched out but still with a huge amount of good mood. Songs about New York and Chemnitz, political, sarcastic, fidgety and catchy. The Schmelztiegel Berlin has brought the four musicians together, we are really looking forward to THE INSERTS' first appearance in Glaubitz!

THE TURBO A.C.'S (US)
Now we have already announced 15 bands and haven't even mentioned our forest pool yet! Of course, our annual secret headliner will be back at the start in 2024: It’s not hard, not far to reach, it’s barely 100m to Glaubitz Beach! (Ramones playing in the back). And so the transition to the next act succeeds quite gallantly - because hardly any band stands for sun, beach and surfboards more than the fantastic TURBO A.C.'s! Somewhere between Social Distortion, Devil Dogs, Hellacopters and the “The Warriors” soundtrack, the Americans have created their niche for over 20 years: full-throttle Rock N’ Roll with a good-humored surfer boy attitude! Welcome Back TURBO A.C.’s!

SCHOOL DRUGS (US)
No power to drugs? For heaven's sake! We take the overdose: School Drugs are there! The New Jersey Punx mix the perfect cocktail of BLACK FLAG, BAD BRAINS, old BAD RELIGION, POISON IDEA and the like. Hectic, nervous, melodic and aggressive, almost crocodile stretched with rhubarb liqueur from the main counter. 80's hardcore and melodic punk, the best of 2 worlds, transferred to today and now - with circle pit and everything that goes with it! For the first time at Back To Future!

DETLEF (GER)
DETLEF? What a band name! Who is still asking? How can you not be interested in DETLEF? The “legitimate and militant arm of SUPERNICHTS” - the shoe is already there and the Back To Future regular breathes a sigh of relief. So we stubbornly stick with the “they fit like a glove” bands. Detlef Cologne from Cologne impress with their staccato-like wit and jagged, pogo-ready 1-2-3 punk. The three DETLEFs will probably make fun of us, you, the other bands and themselves. But we all have to go through it. And very much so!

Back To The Future - That's a perfect fit for THE GENERATORS, because the Californian punk institution is returning to Glaubitz after 10 years! The group around Doug Dagger and Mike Snow is something like one of our all-time favorite bands, the prototype of a successful fusion of punk and rock n' roll. Finally back, finally Back To Glaubitz!

RESISTENZ '32 (GER)
There is great joy here to finally be able to present to you the “favorite band” of the Saxon Office for the Protection of the Constitution: RESISTENZ ‘32 from Leipzig-Connewitz! Stable, political and above all unembarrassing German punk with a lot of 80s / early 90s charm. Hard and angry, anti-fascist, loud and with clear positions, all packed into amazingly melodic songs, plus an impressive stage presence. Times are bad, "times of crisis", the look at next year's elections is already making us shudder. “The best punk songs are created in bad times.” If it weren't so sad... In any case, the time is more than ripe for RESISTENCE '32 at our Saxon provincial festival!
