In case you run out of board games on New Year's Eve, just play “Who am I?” in the punk band version (you know, that game where you get a piece of paper stuck to your forehead and have to figure out who you are). Target questions if you are Aaron-Rev Peters from THE DROWNS: “Do I like full-throttle rock n’ roll with a dash of street punk?” - “Do I also like the pub rock sound of COCK SPARRER or EDDIE AND THE HOT RODS?” - “Am I playing in a band that everyone seems to like?” or “Do I come across as likeable?”. COLLAPS (GER)
A perfect symbiosis of rumble, clatter and melody: Clear the way for COLLAPS from the Ruhr area! Beer, boots and sleeveless band shirts from NEGATIVE APPROACH or BONECRUSHER. The trio recently caused a stir in America. As Ultra Violence is the sound, so likeable are the musicians: Bassist Schnabel has been bringing us hot American bands for years through his agency CITYRAT, drummer Tim may be known from URBAN VOID or COMPLETE LOSS and singer Valle is probably Germany's busiest and most beautiful Oi at the moment !-Musician. Tip: Be sure to enjoy it with a beer in your hand!

The whole band is a hurricane - MARCH from the Netherlands for the very first time at Back To Future! Full throttle rock 'n' roll, seasoned with a good edge of melody, furious and impressive live presence! What reads here like an advertising flyer from a faceless record company is actually exactly what stuck with us when we took a look at the band in the spring of this year. We want them! And it worked! Look forward to the wildest ride you can get at the riding arena in Glaubitz!

Attention, classic alert! Somewhere else in the band announcements recently there was some talk about “History Lessons at Back To Future”. Since you won't really learn much in a history lesson anyway, we're going to give you CHANNEL 3 today! L.A. Punk Rock Essentials! Active since the early 80s (with small interruptions), one of the flagships of the Californian punk rock scene, which we all know we've always had a big soft spot for. In 2017 it was in Glaubitz, the girls from MAID OF ACE had a furious set and the band has now even made it to London's Wembley Stadium. Like BON JOVI, TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS, OASIS or BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. Career boost through Back To Future! Well, we don't want to be so presumptuous, but the band definitely deserves to grow further. We are looking forward to one of the hottest bands from England, MAID OF ACE!

NOWITSCHOK (GER)
If you believe the "top lists" published towards the end of the year, preferably on social media, which are supposed to crown the scene's "album of the year", then "Niederige Beweggründe", the debut by NOWITSCHOK, seems to have struck a chord with the meat-hat faction. The fact that in the Black Forest, in addition to cuckoo clocks and cherry cakes, really good Oi! bands apparently grow on trees is something that connoisseurs have known for a long time now, even since BRUTAL BRAVO came around the corner a while ago. We're looking forward to long, neatly sewn jeans, suspenders, 10-hole boots in the summer and bad tattoos: NOWITSCHOK are stepping up!

VODKA JUNIORS (GR)
No stars in Athens, instead...no, not schnapps, but vodka from the VODKA JUNIORS! The band from the Greek capital is our next confirmation for the coming summer. The album titles in the - over 20-year-old - discography, for example “Suburbancore”, “Darkpoetry” or “Warrior Anthems”, set the direction wildly. Because the next run-of-the-mill melodycore band is not coming around the corner here, the mix of styles the VODKA JUNIORS is as diverse as it is original: punk meets hardcore, reggae meets synthesizer sound, even rock sounds terrible, right? first time at Back To Future, VODKA JUNIORS!

“IN SUMMER ON THE ASS OF THE WORLD” - Yes, HAMMERHEAD are returning to this very ass of the world called Glaubitz! The new LP “NACHDENKEN OVER DEUTSCHLAND” was played up and down here and it was clear to us: we’ll try to get it again! The first time at the start in 1996 (at the quasi-legendary “Großenhain” Open Air), everything cleared away in 2022, now finally back with us with the Ox Fanzine cover story: The blatant pigs from the West! Chaos days, I drink alone, throw garbage cans, everyone dies... HAMMERHEAD takes care of it!

Rarely has a booking agency responded to a request from us in such a heartwarming way as here: “The band really enjoyed it with you, we’d love to come back!” (something like that) - Well, you're happy to hear that, so this year we're voluntarily putting a plate of extra beer brands in the backstage! We're really looking forward to one of the rare shows from the Kiel powerhouse SMOKE BLOW! Brutal, best hardcore punk with lots of “Ohoho” parts to hum along to, performed by Jack Letten / Erik Cohen, MCStrassenköter, Greif Hellhammer, Fabst, Gerrard the J.R. and Kentucky (stage names like those from the World Wrestling Federation). It's going to be wild!

N.T.Ä. (GER)
Nadine Nevermore, Tommy Crack and Äxel Äxport - that sounds like their own wrestling foundation, HaRiBo or the extras for the new Werner film, but of course the first letters are the eponymous elements of the trio from Saarbrücken: N.T.Ä.! Melodic street punk - furious, snotty and defiant! ... and even if the band can no longer hear the comparison, Brody's THE DISTILLERS greet dirtyly from the edge of the stage. We're looking forward to another Back To Future debut! Welcome N.T.Ä.!

Hands down, if NASTY RUMOURS aren't the current Neo '77 European champions, then who are? The Swiss have climbed the coolness ladder with every release and every live show in recent years. If NASTY RUMOURS were founded in the mystical year 1977 instead of 2014, then there would certainly be several meaningful TV documentaries and the red carpet at the Rebellion Festival or Punk Rock Bowling every year. ALARMSIGNAL (GER)
ALARMSIGNAL - And finally one of the better kind! There is no comparison to the alarm signal that was sent to your cell phones and TV screens nationwide on a trial basis, without being asked, a few weeks ago. This ALARM SIGNAL here is of a completely different caliber: authentic, angry and political German punk that sounds like German punk in times like it had to sound - giving hope, rousing, accusing.
The band is coming out with a new album (which will probably come out in January), which you should have memorized by summer...

As you have probably already noticed, a fundraising campaign is currently underway to save the Leipzig cultural institution CONNE ISLAND, but only for 2 days. THE LIZARDS (ESP)
MÄD LYNX have already been confirmed, and now THE LIZARDS too. After the crazy lynxes, now come the lizards. We're really excited to see what else the booking team has in the pipeline: TIGER ARMY? ZEBRAHEAD? STREET DOGS? Even the SCORPIONS? We'll see. In any case, THE LIZARDS have it all: Furious and incredibly catchy punk n' roll somewhere between BOMBPOPS, JOAN JETT and THE LAST GANG, so more like a nimble cheetah or angry gorilla than a dreamy reptile. The trio from Barcelona with their Back To Future debut - we're really excited!

Many years ago, a clever sports reporter for SC Freiburg invented an almost contradictory description of the team as “the Breisgau Brazilians” - because the players played as gracefully and “beautifully” as the Brazilian selection at the World Championships. It sounds almost as strange if you give the bullies from NONCHALANT - yes, they are also from Freiburg - the golden power pop medal! Please don't make the mistake of judging the sound of the group from the ruffian promo photo: They have sugary sweet melodies, somewhere between CUTE LEPERS, YUM YUMS, VANILLA MUFFINS and MELMACS. Either they play very early or very early: you can't miss them!

BERLINER WEISSE (GER)
Was it really 10 years of Back To Future's stage abstinence? Grey-haired chroniclers pored over the annals and certainly know more, in any case it was a long time ago, a long time ago! It really is high time to finally let the crazy Berlin party animals loose on our audience again! The tried and tested BW recipe: always a mischievous streak, the right attitude in heart and head plus a lot of sing-along street punk anthems. And they are just really likeable guys, these BERLINER WEISSE. It is simply not impossible that we will have to get the musicians out of the outdoor pool or drag them away from the bar for their performance. We promise: It will (hopefully) not take another 10 years!
